About the Book
What a perfect book to kick off the upcoming Christmas Novella Season! (yes, I capitalized that on purpose. It should be a thing).
Containing all the best elements of a great Hallmark movie without all the cheesiness that usually follows, Hope for Christmas has a few light but multi-layered elements, which can be unusual in a novella.
Yes, some of the story is predictable, but just as you're sure what everything will be, Malissa Chapin tips it on its head and gives a new element to round it out and add richness.
Gonna warn you. You won't like Merry at first. She's not likable AT ALL. And she doesn't flip a switch in the middle of the book and become someone completely different, either. But like all great character growth arcs, she stays who she is while growing out of who she was never intended to be (mostly... she's not perfect at the end for sure, but again, this is a good thing!).
With faith layers that warm the heart and soul, this novella offers a look at our true Hope at Christmas.
I'm thrilled to have been given a chance at an early read of Hope for Christmas.
